Ryzenberg On: Instagram Magic

Ryzenberg On: Instagram Magic

So I guess I am officially on the dark side. I am ‘slightly’ obsessed with my iPhone and I won’t deny it! So after downloading Facebook and Twitter (respectively) I got the Instagram app and instantly loved it!

I now take photos of everything and share them with my peeps (this includes everything from decadent meals, amazing fashion finds and even my beloved city by the bay)

As I bid adieu to 2011 and prepare to welcome the new year, I leave you with some of my favorite snapshots from recent months (well, to be exact just December!)

Happy New Year & see you in 2011!!!

The Finer Things in Fashion

Attractive and high quality apparel and accessories mean everything in fashion. Cuts, colors (shades & tones), prints and woven materials (fabric) are seen within every piece of clothing or accessory. Details are important and show the complexity made to produce that piece of art.

With the upcoming celebration of the holidays and turn onto the New Year, it’s important to see what kinds of things are “finer” in our wardrobe. As we shop daily, weekly or even monthly, we tend to forget what kinds of things last long or don’t.

Classics are made to be forever and have those specific cuts, colors and materials that make us want to buy them and have them in our wardrobe for as long as we can keep them.

Here are a couple of things that are seen to be “The Finer Things in Fashion” because of how classic they can be. Every piece can be a “classic” in anyone’s opinion; the details are just all that matters to make them a “finer” piece.

Pashmina Art Cashmere Gray Scarf

Chanel 2.55 Double Flap Bag

Giuseppe Zanotti Neon Colorblock Platform D’Orsay

Cartier Tank Solo Watch
A stainless steel case and bezel with precision quartz movement

Whether it’s a basic blazer or trendy heel, details mean a lot. Anyone and everyone can appreciate the finer things in fashion.

Splurge or Steal: Kirsten Stewart’s Red Dress in GQ by Mira Torres

I know, not everyone likes Kristen Stewart but I highly doubt there’s anyone out there that can deny the impeccable sultry and sexiness of a red dress.  So, when I came across the spread of Kirsten Stewart in the latest GQ, in all her pale and perfect glory. I needed a heart-shaped, skin-tight stunner in my life and I just couldn’t help but want to capture the allure of a dramatic red costume to own all on my own. After all, a red dress is a stylish evening staple that will be on trend for decades to come. The photos themselves definitely derive from  the inspiration and influence of old Hollywood Glamour.  Without a doubt, this GQ spread of the vampire starlet proved that her next role, as Snow White, is more than ready to be conquered. The waves, the water, the red lips. In fact, I’m quite sure she’s pretty much going to own it.

For a Splurge: Vena Cava Red Silk Chiffon Dress

Take the ripeness of red to a whole new altitude of fashion with this draped and gorgeous red silk chiffon dress by Vena Cava. The movement will make you look like you’re walking on a cloud.

For a Steal:  Michael by Michael Kors Belted Shoulder Red Dress

Keep it a little more classic with Michael by Michael Kors Belted Red Dress. Belted and banded in all the right areas. It will no doubt accentuate all of your favorite assets.

Simply Impressed by ShoeDazzle’s STEADY Boot by Mira Torres

Not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical withShoeDazzle. After all, though shoes are fun and I buy them often, anything that is remotely like an automatic payment is quite scary and not very smart for someone with a horrible shopping addiction like myself. Plus, a million questions ran through my head.  What if the shoes are crappy? What if I hate the selection? What if I can’t get my money back? What if I forget? And more importantly, will it be worth my hard earned $39.95? So, when I was given the opportunity to test out a pair of ShoeDazzle shoes, I hopped on it like a typical shoe-obsessed fashion fiend. Within the week, the shoes were at my door. Perfectly packaged in the cutest hot pink box adorned with the company label. The size 9 fit to a tee – absolutely true to size. And by golly were they comfy. I opted for the STEADY boho-chic boot in Maroon at first (Yah, was trying something different and should have known I’m a creature of habit) but opted to exchange it for a pair in black. Which was a breeze by the way! The sticker is already packaged, you can hand it to your UPS guy when he hits your neighborhood, and if there are any complications just give them a quick call and they are more than happy to fix the problem.

Though the process of purchasing and exchanging the shoes was a breeze, I was most concerned on whether the affordable price was going to give me the most bang for my buck. So, I wore those suckers out and about like there was no tomorrow for the rest of the week. I have to say, with the STEADY, the quality and comfort can be compared to a Seychelles… And for less than more than half the price, it could definitely give the boutique brand a run for it’s money.

So, it was a happy ending. ShoeDazzle’s STEADY boot has instantly become my walking shoe, perfect for this typical San Francisco late Summer/Fall transition. I could literally walk in them all day… and I have! Plus, the silhouette, style, and suede really gives off a luxurious look for way less. My favorite way to wear it is with a beige cape I bought for a steal at H&M and my favorite stretchy pair of J Brand Black Jean Leggings. Add on some accessories and I am glossy mag ready! Plus, when an Indian summer hits, I can pull off the cape and rock the staple black tank top I have cleverly worn underneath. Needless to say, I’ve signed up for the monthly ShoeDazzle club and eagerly anticipate the monthly showroom sent my way. Their selection of products -everything from bags, to accessories,to pajamas! – is amazing and if you don’t want or can’t find anything to buy for that month just skip it. Simple as that. The beginning quiz is fun to take, too. I’ve probably done it like 5 times just for kicks. Haha!

You and a friend can try ShoeDazzle for free with the StyleSays + ShoeDazzle giveaway going on right now. Just head to the StyeSays giveaway page here: http://on.fb.me/pKsRWh

P.S. It all started with Kim Kardashian and now Perez Hilton is the latest ShoeDazzle stylist. What do you think about that? I’m not really sure what kind of credibility Perez has style-wise but…I guess we’ll see.
