- Two of my favorite words: Visionary and Power.
The Carine Roitfeld name is often used in context with these words. Visionary and Power.
Since her departure from Vogue Paris and Condé Nast she has taken the limelight by storm in the media, in the fashion world and in business. I knew she was ready when she set up shop in New York City. If there is a place for re-invention and opportunity it is the NYC. The launch of her biannual, CR Fashion Book, is MORE than successful and fabulous, is it any wonder that Harper’s Bazaar and Hearst Publications (the direct competition to Vogue and Condé Nast publications) has come calling.
- The Big News:
“Roitfeld will produce a limited amount of editorials for the magazine to run across world wide editions, it was announced today by David Carey, president, Hearst Magazines, and Duncan Edwards, president and CEO, Hearst Magazines International., on several stories a year starting in the March 2013 issues of all 26 international editions of BAZAAR, which have a combined audience of more than 11.3 million worldwide. Edwards commented, "This collaboration marks the first time anything like this has been done.”
She is a visionary in the fashion world and we are so happy to be working with her. “Carey said,” Hearst is the world’s largest publisher of monthly magazines, and we’re always looking for powerful ideas that can play out across the globe.
- Final Look:
Roitfeld will continue to work on her various other projects. That’s how a Boss does it.
